RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

We do not charge a booking fee for less than 9 person booking, but please note that bookings will only be held for 15 minutes from confirmed booking time. After which the booking will be forfeited to another patron if no communication of delays or changes are received.

 

Please note that reservations of 1 or 2-seaters will be seated at the high-table. If a table is booked for 3 or more, a low table will be allocated depending on availability, however, if your party is reduced to 2 people you will be re-allocated to a high-table to provide an opportunity for other patrons with larger parties to enjoy the same experience.

 

Due to no-shows of bookings, a policy has been implemented as of 18 February 2022. We will no longer be accepting reservations from patrons who fail to notify us of any cancellations and or changes. We will however accept no-show patrons on a walk-in basis, subject to availability at the time. We are a small establishment and we rely on patrons who honour their reservations with us.

NEW BOOKING POLICY FOR 9 PEOPLE OR MORE (implemented as of 13 January 2023)

In order to prevent "no shows" we have introduced the requirement of a R200 deposit per person. Payment must be made within 24-hours prior of the date of the reservation.

Please note that should the amount of guests in your group decrease and we are not informed, the amount of R200 per person does not arrive will be withheld.

CAKE LEVY

Cakes are permitted for celebrations and a levy charge of R200 per booking will be applicable.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Obento is a licensed restaurant to serve alcohol and provide an array of choices specially curated to our menu offering. Please note that we do not permit outside beverages on our premises nor do we offer corkage.

ALLERGIES/DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

With our small team cooking and the nature of ramen we unfortunately cannot cater for the following: vegan, onion, garlic, alcohol, coriander, black pepper and eggs.

Please note that although we take great care with regard to dietary restrictions, we have a small kitchen that uses a lot of different ingredients that may contain allergens and cannot guarantee that there are no trace elements of allergens like, nuts, eggs, dairy, etc. in the dishes that we serve.

A gratuity of 12% will be automatically charged on the bill for parties of 9 (nine) and more.

The person making the booking will be deemed to have accepted the reservations terms and conditions.
